Brown leads Liberty over Robert Morris 38-7

LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP)—Mike Brown threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Liberty to a 38-7 win over Robert Morris on Saturday night.

Brown had a hand in all four of Liberty’s touchdowns as the Flames (1-1) jumped out to a 28-0 lead in the first three quarters.

Brown opened the scoring on a 5-yard run before throwing a 39-yard pass to Pat Kelly late in the first quarter. Brown continued in the second quarter running for a 7-yard score and throwing another long TD, this time 37-yards to Ryan Ferguson.

The Liberty quarterback finished with 209 yards on 13 of 22 passing and added 43 yards on 11 carries.

The rest of Liberty’s points came on special teams as Kevin Fogg scored on an 88-yard kickoff return and Matt Bevins kicked a 23-yard field goal.

Justin Brooks had 86 yards on 22 carries for the Colonials (0-2).
