Williams, Chattanooga beat The Citadel 28-10

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP)—Keon Williams rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns as Chattanooga defeated The Citadel 28-10 on Saturday for its third consecutive victory.

Trailing 14-10 at halftime, The Citadel (2-4, 0-3 Southern Conference) drove to the Chattanooga 24 in the third quarter, but Matt Thompson’s pass to Domonic Jones was intercepted by Kadeem Wise in the end zone.

The Mocs (3-2, 2-1) then drove 80 yards in eight plays, taking a 21-10 lead on B.J. Coleman’s 21-yard pass to Joel Bradford.

Chattanooga cemented its victory with a 16-play, 88-yard fourth-quarter drive that consumed 9:35 and ended with Williams’ second 2-yard scoring run.

Coleman completed 13 of 21 passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns for the Mocs.

Terrell Dallas gained 67 yards on 16 carries for the Bulldogs, who got 238 of their 263 yards total offense on the ground.
