Reid throws 2 TD passes in Texas Southern win

TYLER, Texas (AP)—Bobby Reid ran for a touchdown and threw for two more to lead Texas Southern to a 28-13 win over Texas College on Saturday night.

Reid, an Oklahoma State transfer, connected on 16 of 32 passes and threw one interception as the Tigers (2-2) won their second straight.

Reid’s top receiver was William Osbourne, who caught seven passes for 128 yards, including a 27-yard scoring reception that gave the Tigers a two-touchdown lead in the third quarter.

Texas College’s X’Zavier Bloodsaw, a transfer from Texas Southern, threw for 215 yards against his former team.

The Steers (0-4) moved the ball but had difficulty scoring. Texas College penetrated the Texas Southern 25 three times in the second half, but managed just two field goals from Chris Walls. The other time, the Steers were stopped on fourth-and-9 from the TSU 11.
