No, this is not a metaphor. While TCU fans' hopes for a Cinderella BCS Championship bid may have been demolished Saturday with decisive wins by Auburn and Oregon, this morning's implosion of the west side of Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth has been in the works for months. Boom goes the dynamite:

Only the first 21 rows will remain after a $105 million renovation is finished in 2012, by which point the Frogs will be members of the Big East – albeit at a slightly reduced capacity, to make room for suites. Now if you'll excuse them, they have a party in another decrepit stadium to crash.
