Scouting Report on Bryan Harvey

by Jerry Meyer - 08/29/2004
Harvey is a shooting guard with size and the capability of playing the point. Neither exceptionally quick or explosive, Harvey is crafty with the ball and can get into the lane and draw fouls. When under control, Harvey can do a variety of positive things with his solid skill set and feel for the game. A streaky shooter with deep range, Harvey can be both very good and not so good shooting the ball when he forces long range jumpers.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. Coaches all around the country are a little jealous of Wake Forest's Skip Prosser. The Deacons are making a trip to the Bahamas to play two exhibition games in early September and, per NCAA rules, they are allowed to hold 10 practices beginning Aug. 23. Few teams can make a case for needing the extra practice more than the Deacons. This and much more is inside the National College Basketball Notebook.
