Scouting Report on Andy Poling

by Jerry Meyer - 08/28/2006
An intelligent player with a polished back to the basket game, Poling scores often with a reliable jump hook. Skilled with the ball in general, Poling does need to increase his strength and athleticism to improve as a rebounder and defender. He will become even more of an offensive threat as he improves his shooting range.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
