Buffalo overcomes St. Bonaventure 78-73

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP)—Jarryn Skeete and Shannon Evans each scored 17 points to lead Buffalo to a 78-73 victory over St. Bonaventure on Saturday.

St. Bonaventure (6-3) held a 39-38 advantage at the half and pushed its lead to 66-60 with 5:31 remaining in the game. A Joshua Freelove 3-pointer, followed by a Will Regan triple tied the game at 66. Evans and Skeete then made back to back 3-pointers to give the Bulls (4-2) their second lead in the final period 72-69 with 2:09 remaining. Jarod Oldham made four consecutive free throws, and Freelove added two more to ice the game.

The Bulls were 8 of 23 from outside the 3-point arc, while St. Bonaventure only made 1 of 10 attempts. That proved to be the difference in the game.

Charlon Kloof led the Bonnies with 17 points. Andell Cumberbatch had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
