Duhon, Chicago State down Houston Baptist 71-58

HOUSTON (AP)—Nate Duhon scored 24 points, leading Chicago State to a 71-58 victory over Houston Baptist on Saturday night.

Chicago State (9-21, 3-5 Great West) earned a first-round bye in the conference tournament later this week, to be held in Chicago.

Jamere Dismukes scored 19 points and had three steals for Chicago State. Quinton Pippen had 15 points and three steals.

Art Bernardi had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Houston Baptist (12-16, 3-5). Rob Lewis also scored 14 points.

Chicago State leads the all-time series with Houston Baptist 7-4, and won an earlier meeting between the two, 81-56, in Chicago.
