TROY, Ala. (AP)—Ray Chambers scored 18 points, including the game-winning free throw, as Troy held on to beat Georgia State 57-56 Saturday night.

Emil jones added 11 points and eight rebounds to help snap Troy’s (5-7) five-game losing streak.

Trailing 30-16 at halftime, Georgia State (5-5) began the second half on a 28-12 run to take a 44-42 lead with 10:24 left to play.

Tied at 51 with 3:59 remaining, a free throw by James Vincent and two Devonta White baskets put Georgia State ahead 56-51 with 1:47 left to play.

White’s basket would be the last points for the Panthers as Troy responded scoring the last six points of the game. Antoine Myers scored five straight points— two layups and a free throw— to tie the game at 56, and then Chambers hit the decisive free throw to give the Trojans the edge.

White led the Panthers with 13 points.
