HACKENSACK, N.J. (AP)—Melquan Bolding scored 18 points to help Fairleigh Dickinson beat St. Francis (N.Y.) 45-44 Saturday, snapping an eight-game skid.

St. Francis led most of the game but the Knights broke a 40-40 tie with 2:36 left with four straight points. Layups by Kinu Rochford and Bolding gave the Knights a 44-40 edge with 37 seconds remaining. St. Francis’ Kevin Douglas hit a 3-pointer with 1 second remaining for the final margin.

The 44 points in the regular-season finale for both teams was the fewest points allowed by the Knights in at least 10 seasons.
