Army limited the Leopards to five 3-pointers after they came in averaging 9.1, fifth in the nation. Three of them, however, came during Lafayette’s decisive run, when Nick Petkovich hit two treys and Willen one.
Lafayette made 31 of 37 free throws, led by Willen’s 11-for-12 night, while the Black Knights (10-14, 3-6) were 26 of 31, as the teams combined to commit 51 fouls.
