SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP)—C.J. McCollum scored 34 points and Lehigh shut down Bryant defensively in the first half of an easy 72-55 win Saturday in a nonconference game.

The 6-foot-3 junior guard hit 13 of 21 shots from the floor, including 3 of 7 from beyond the 3-point arc and went 5 for 5 from the free throw line. That helped the Mountain Hawks (11-4) take a 37-18 halftime lead and send Bryant (1-12) to its 11th consecutive defeat.

Gabe Knutson posted a double-double for the Mountain Hawks. The forward scored 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds—eight on the offensive glass.

For Bryant, Claybrin McMath came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 14 points. Twelve of those points came on McMath’s four 3-point baskets.

Raphael Jordan scored 12 points for Bryant and Alex Francis chipped in with 10.
