GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP)—Jamar Briscoe scored 19 points off the bench, and Chris Braswell added 13 points and nine rebounds in Charlotte’s 76-64 win over East Carolina on Saturday.
With the game tied 27-27 in the second half, Charlotte (4-2) used a 10-0 run to take a 37-27 lead with 15:55 left to play. During the run, Braswell recorded two blocks, two rebounds, two points and a steal.
East Carolina (4-3) would cut the deficit to nine, 48-39, behind a Miguel Paul 3-pointer, but Briscoe would answer with a 3-pointer of his own, sparking a 15-5 run that gave Charlotte a 63-44 advantage with 5:49 left to play.
Briscoe made 5 of 8 shots from the field, including all four of his 3-point attempts in only 18 minutes of playing time. Braswell scored eight of his 13 points and had all but one of his rebounds in the second half.
