COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Anthony Miles scored a career high 31 points in Lamar’s 85-65 win over Tennessee Tech on Friday night.
Miles shot 57 percent (8 for 14) from the field, 75 percent (3 for 4) from behind the arc and made 12 of his 14 free throw attempts.
Lamar (4-2) entered the second half leading 31-24, but used a 39-25 run to take a 70-49 lead with 4:18 left to play. Miles hit a 3-pointer on Lamar’s next possession to give the Cardinals a 73-49 lead. Miles scored 18 points during the run.
Devon Lamb tallied 15 points and 10 rebounds while Brandon Davis added 13 for Lamar.
The Cardinals outrebounded Tennessee Tech 41-26 and made 85 percent (23 for 27) of their free throws.
Tennessee Tech (2-3) was led by 17 points from Zach Bailey and 16 points from Kevin Murphy.
