SAN JUAN, P.R. (AP)—Mike Glover had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Scott Machado had 15 points and 15 assists Sunday to lead Iona to an 89-63 victory over Maryland in the fifth-place game of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off tournament.
Lamont Jones scored 22 points to lead the Gaels (2-1). Iona led 37-34 at halftime, but shot 66 percent from the field in the second half to turn the game into a runaway. The Gaels finished at 55 percent from outside.
Sean Mosley led the Terrapins (2-2) with 21 points. Terrell Stoglin added 17 points and Ashton Pankey had a game-high 11 rebounds for Maryland, which shot 61 percent in the first half but just 35 percent after that to finish at 46 percent.
