Pacific outlasts UC Davis 70-66

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP)—Sam Willard had 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead Pacific to a 70-66 victory over UC Davis on Saturday night.

Pacific rallied from a seven-point deficit early in the second half and sealed the win by making 8 of 8 free throws in the final minute, with Willard making the final two with 2 seconds remaining.

Willard recorded his 15th double-double of the season. He entered the night ranked eighth nationally both in double-doubles and rebounding (10.9 per game).

Allen Huddleston added 13 points for Pacific (14-10, 6-5 Big West) and Nyika Williams had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers.

Joe Harden and Josh Ritchart each scored 17 points to lead UC Davis (8-16, 3-9). Mark Payne added 10 points and five rebounds.

Eddie Miller made a 3-pointer and then a driving dunk as the Aggies tied it for the sixth and final time with 1:21 left.
