SAN ANTONIO (AP)—Tyler Wood scored 14 points and UTSA broke open a close game early in the second half then coasted to a 71-50 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Monday night.
Jeromie Hill added 13 points and Melvin Johnson III had 10 for the Roadrunners (10-8), who won their third straight, matching a season high.
Kevin Geofroy led the Aggies (4-15), a Division II team, with 11 points, and Trayvon Williams had 10.
UTSA never trailed but led just 22-19 at halftime after shooting 23.5 percent. The Eagles opened the second half with a 16-2 run to take command and led by at least 15 the rest of the way.
UTSA shot 60.7 percent in the second half to finish at 40.3 percent overall and held the Aggies to 34.5 percent shooting.
