Stanford turns back North Carolina A&T 76-59

STANFORD, Calif. (AP)—Jeremy Green scored 18 points, Josh Owens added 15 and Stanford beat North Carolina A&T 76-59 on Wednesday night to remain undefeated at home.

Dwight Powell added nine points and seven rebounds for the Cardinal (6-2), who won their third straight and fifth in a row at home.

Nic Simpson scored a season-high 20 points for the Aggies (5-5), whose four-game winning streak ended. Thomas Coleman added 12 points and eight rebounds. Coleman blocked three shots.

Stanford took advantage of 15 Aggies turnovers, nine in the second half, to score 26 points. The Aggies managed three points on seven Stanford turnovers.

Andrew Zimmerman’s short jumper gave Stanford a lead midway through the first half as the Cardinal took a 40-33 advantage into intermission.
