CINCINNATI (AP)—Dion Dixon scored 20 points and Cincinnati continued its best start in six seasons with an easy 68-34 win over defending NIT-champion Dayton on Saturday night.

Rashad Bishop was the only other player to score in double figures with 10 points—all in the first half—as the Bearcats sent the Flyers to their worst loss since they lost by 53, 116-63, at Cincinnati on Feb. 12, 1995.

The win was Cincinnati’s biggest since a 37-point victory, 94-57, over Texas Southern on Dec. 1, 2009.

Cincinnati is 5-0 for the first time since the 2004-2005 team—Bob Huggins’ last as the Bearcats’ coach—started 10-0 on its way to a 25-8 season that ended with a loss to Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Juwan Staten scored seven points to lead Dayton (5-1), which shot just .200 (12-for-60) from the field.
