Seton Hall comes back to beat Alabama 83-78

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands (AP)—Jeremy Hazell led four starters in double-figures with 27 points as Seton Hall beat Alabama 83-78 on Friday night in the first round of the Paradise Jam.

The Pirates (2-1) trailed 44-39 at halftime, but hit 27 of their 49 shots (55.1 percent) from the floor, including 10 of 13 (76.9 percent) 3-pointers to pull ahead by as many as 12 points with 8:32 to go.

Hazell shot 5 for 6 from behind the arc. Jeff Robinson had scored 14 points, Herb Pope had 13 and Jordan Theodore added 11 for Seton Hall.

The Crimson Tide (2-1) finished the game shooting 31 of 58 (53.4 percent) from the floor, including 10 of 14 (71.4 percent) from 3-point range. But Alabama made it to the free-throw line only nine times compared to 30 for the Pirates.

Releford led Alabama with 20 points, while Senario Hillman added 18.
