Bowling Green cruises to 75-41 win over Ohio

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP)—Darryl Clements scored 15 points and Nate Miller had 14 points and 11 rebounds as Bowling Green cruised to a 75-41 win over Ohio on Sunday afternoon to clinch a share of the Mid-American Conference’s Eastern Division championship.

Bowling Green (18-12, 11-5 Mid-American), which earned the top seed for the MAC Tournament that begins Tuesday, opened with a 20-3 run that included two 3-pointers by Clements.

Ohio (14-16, 7-9) scored nine straight points later in the period to get to within 11, but the Falcons immediately kicked off a 13-0 run that made it 40-16 just before halftime. The Bobcats couldn’t get closer than 21 the rest of the way.

Otis Polk scored 14 points and Joe Jakubowski added 10 for Bowling Green.

Justin Orr and Steven Coleman both had 10 for Ohio, which only shot 27.5 percent.
