Cornell beats Princeton in finale
ITHACA, N.Y. (AP)—Ryan Wittman had 12 points to lead four players in double figures, senior center Jeff Foote had six points, nine rebounds and three blocks, and Cornell finished its season with a 60-51 victory over Princeton on Saturday night.
Cornell (21-9, 11-3 Ivy), which captured the Ivy League title on Friday night to earn its second straight NCAA tournament berth, won for the 21st straight time at Newman Arena, the fourth-longest home streak in the nation.
Louis Dale had 11 points, and freshman Chirs Wroblewski and Alex Tyler each had 10 for Cornell, which had four blocks to set a school record of 121. The previous record of 117 was set by the 1996-97 team.
Douglas Davis led the Tigers (12-14, 7-6) with 16 points, and Patrick Saunders had 13 points and seven rebounds.
