Lipscomb beats Campbell 82-52
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Adnan Hodzic scored 16 points, and Brandon Brown added 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead Lipscomb past Campbell 82-52 in a quarterfinal game of the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament on Thursday night.
The fourth-seeded Bisons (17-13) won their ninth straight game and earned a date wtih top-seeded Jacksonville in the semifinals on Friday night.
Lipscomb led 35-25 at halftime, but took command of the game early in the second half as Brown and Michael Teller scored off consecutive steals against the Camels (14-16).
Those two steals ignited an 8-0 run to give Lipscomb a commanding 47-28 lead capped by a 3-point basket by Teller with 16:32 to play.
Josh Slater added 11 points for the Bisons, while Teller finished with 10.
Kyle Vejraska led Campbell with 11 points, and Junard Hartley added 10.
