Wofford defeats Furman 80-55
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP)—Junior Salters scored 18 points and Wofford defeated Furman 80-55 on Monday night.
The Paladins (6-23, 4-16 Southern Conference) jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the game’s first four minutes, but Wofford (6-13, 12-8) used a 15-4 run to erase the advantage. The Terriers took their first lead, 15-14 on Salters’ 3-pointer with 11:12 left in the first half.
Wofford led 59-45 midway through the second half, before going on a 13-6 run to blow the game open. Corey Godzinski capped the run on a layup for a 72-51 Terriers’ advantage with 2:04 to play.
Noah Dahlman scord 16 points and Tim Johnson added 12 for Wofford, which has won five out of its last six games.
Jordan Miller paced the Paladins with 14 points, Brandon Sebirumbi added 11 and Bryson Barnes tallied 10 points and seven rebounds.
