Manhattan 63, St. Peter’s 66
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP)—Wesley Jenkins’ buzzer-beating 3-pointer gave St. Peter’s a 66-63 win over Manhattan on Sunday.
The Jaspers (16-13, 9-9 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) had led for most of the game, but Ismalia Traore’s free throw with 1:18 remaining tied it for the Peacocks (11-18, 9-10). Both teams then had chances to take the lead but failed, and after a St. Peter’s timeout with seven seconds left, Jenkins got the ball and hit his game-winner.
Jenkins finished with 23 points, while Akeem Gooding added 19 points and eight rebounds and Nick Leon finished with 11 points. The Jaspers got 33 points from Darryl Crawford, who was 12-of-19 on the day, while Chris Smith added 10 points.
