UC Santa Barbara beats UC Davis, 66-64
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP)—Freshmen James Nunnally and Jaime Serna combined for 31 points to lead UC Santa Barbara to a 66-64 comeback victory over UC Davis Saturday night.
Nunnally made 7-of-11 shots off the bench to help the Gauchos (13-14, 6-8 Big West Conference) win for the fifth time in their last six games.
Joe Harden led the Aggies (12-17, 7-8) with 20 points and nine rebounds.
Vince Oliver scored 11 of his 19 points in the first 10 minutes to lead UC Davis to a 23-10 lead.
But Nunnally rallied UCSB by scoring nine points in the last 10 minutes of the half. Senior Nick Quick, who had only played 22 minutes all season, contributed a 3-pointer to the first-half comeback. He finished with a career-high seven points.
