Cornell eases by Dartmouth, 75-57
HANOVER, N.H. (AP)—Ryan Wittman, Chris Wroblewski and Adam Gore each hit two 3-pointers early in the second half and first-place Cornell pulled away from Dartmouth, 75-57, Friday night in the Ivy League.
Leading by three points five minutes into the second half, Cornell hit six 3-pointers in the next five minutes to pull ahead 55-41.
Wittman finished with 4 of 5 from behind the arc as he scored 20 points to lead Cornell (19-8, 9-2). Louis Dale added 14 points and Jeff Foote and Wroblewski had 11 each. Overall, the Big Red hit 11 of 19 treys.
Alex Barnett had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead Dartmouth (8-17, 6-5), which dropped out of second place. Ronnie Dixon added 12 points.
Cornell led 33-25 at the half, but Dartmouth cut it to three points before Cornell went on its 3-point barrage, and Dartmouth never got closer than 12 again.
