Creighton rallies to beat Missouri St. 65-59
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP)—Casey Harriman scored three crucial 3-pointers in the second half to help Creighton rally to a 65-59 win over Missouri State on Tuesday night.
The Bluejays (24-6, 13-4 Missouri Valley) trailed by 11 at halftime and were down 37-25 with 15:08 left before staging a 13-3 run to cut Missouri State’s lead to 40-38.
With Missouri State (11-18, 3-14) ahead 47-45, Harriman hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give Creighton a 51-47 lead with 6:16 remaining.
Missouri State got to within 59-58 before Harriman hit another 3-pointer with 1:17 to play, pushing Creighton to an insurmountable 62-58 lead.
Harriman finished with 10 points and Cavel Witter and P’Allen Stinnett each had 11 as the Jays won their ninth in a row.
Will Creekmore, Chris Cooks and Spencer Laurie all scored 11 for Missouri State. Wade Knapp added 10.
