Canisius 71, Bowling Green 66, OT
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP)—Greg Logins’ layup with 1:14 to go in overtime led Canisius College to victory in a tight nonconference game, 71-66, over Bowling Green State University on Saturday at Anderson Arena.
Logins and Julius Coles each followed with two free throws to secure the win for the Golden Griffins (9-18).
Logins had 19 points in the game, while Coles had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
In a game that had 21 lead changes, Bowling Green’s Nate Miller, a senior forward who went past 1,000 points for his career, scored 22 on 10-of-19 shooting and added 13 rebounds. Miller hit a 3-pointer with 7 seconds left in regulation to tie it at 62-62.
Miller’s jumper with 1:30 left in overtime put the Falcons up 66-65, but then Logins and Coles took command.
Frank Turner had 16 points for Canisius. Brian Moten scored 14 and Joe Jakubowski added 12 for Bowling Green (15-11).
