Lipscomb dominates S.C.-Upstate 77-44
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Michael Teller scored 20 points to lead Lipscomb to a 77-44 victory over South Carolina-Upstate on Saturday.
Teller, who went 8-for-8 from the field, had a career-high seven steals for the Bisons.
Lipscomb (11-13, 7-8 Atlantic Sun Conference) used a 15-3 run in the first half to take a 25-11 lead with 7:35 remaining. The Bisons led 37-22 at halftime.
In the second half, the Spartans (7-17, 6-9) pulled no closer than 14 points. The final margin of victory would be Lipscomb’s largest lead of the game, as Rob Murphy’s layup with 44 seconds left put the Bisons up by 33 points.
Upstate was led by Bobby Davis, who finished with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Adnan Hodzic added 18 points and 12 rebounds for Lipscomb.
