North Florida holds off Campbell 61-59
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP)—Eni Cuka scored 12 points and two other North Florida players scored in double figures as the Ospreys beat Campbell 61-59 on Saturday.
North Florida (6-20, 4-12 Atlantic Sun Conference) snapped its four-game losing streak.
The Ospreys took a 60-55 lead on Stan Januska’s layup with 3:59 left in the game but didn’t score again from the field.
Amir Celestin’s layup cut the lead to 60-57 with 3:01 left and Jonathan Rodriguez hit a layup with 1.4 seconds remaining before North Florida’s Cortez Riley hit a free throw for the final margin.
Campbell (10-15, 7-9) was 19 of 54 from the field (35.2 percent) to drop its third straight game.
Riley finished with 11 points and Matt Sauey added 10 points and five blocks for North Florida.
Rodriguez scored 15 points and Kyle Vejraska added 11 for Campbell.
