Army beats Lehigh 82-75 in triple overtime
WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP)—Richard Cleveland scored 17 points in Army’s 82-75 triple overtime win over Lehigh in Patriot League basketball Saturday.
Josh Miller added 13 points for the Black Knights (8-16, 4-6), while John Moonshower chipped in 10. Army shot 40 percent from the floor and was 9-of-21 on 3-pointers.
Lehigh’s Marquis Hall led all players with 25 points. Zahire Carrington had a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 boards for the Mountain Hawks (14-10, 4-6). Dave Buchberger scored 15 points and grabbed 11 boards.
Lehigh shot 34.9 percent overall and was 9-of-22 from beyond the arc.
It was a tight game from the start, with Army taking a 29-28 halftime lead. The teams traded points through the second half, ending it at a 53-53 tie after Miller sank a pair of free throws with a half-minute left.
Army broke a 73-73 tie in the third overtime with a 9-2 run, capped by a dunk and free-throw by Kenny Brewer.
