Lehigh knocks off Navy 70-59
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP)—Marquis Hall scored 18 points and Lehigh rallied for a 70-59 victory over Navy on Wednesday night, snapping a two-game losing streak.
The Mountain Hawks (14-9, 4-5 Patriot League), who trailed 41-32 with 17:25 left, used a 19-7 run—capped by seven straight points by Zahir Carrington—to pull ahead 51-48 with 9:40 remaining.
The Midshipmen (16-8, 5-4), coming off a 62-60 overtime win over Bucknell, shot only 37.5 percent from the field (21 of 56) on coach Billy Lange’s 37th birthday.
The Mountain Hawks shot 53.3 percent from the floor (24 of 45) as Dave Buchberger added 14 points, Carrington had 12 points and nine rebounds and Mark Veazey chipped in 10 points.
Chris Harris led Navy with 18 points and Colbert had 11. Kaleo Kina, the Patriot League’s leading scorer, had only five points, his lowest scoring output of the season.
