Mercer beats North Florida 74-55
MACON, Ga. (AP)—James Florence scored 24 points, leading four Mercer players in double digits in a 74-55 win over North Florida on Monday night.
Daniel Emerson scored 14 points and grabbed 14 boards for the Bears (14-11, 8-6 Atlantic Sun Conference). E.J. Kusnyer added 12 points and Brian Mills had 10.
Kusnyer was 4-for-8 from beyond the arc, and Mills was 2-for-3 from long range.
Eni Cuka led the Ospreys (5-19, 3-11) with 23 points and Cortez Riley added 10.
Mercer led by eight points at the break and outscored UNF 44-33 in the second half to seal the win. The home team shot a blistering 81.3 percent from the field (13 of 16) in the final period.
The Bears, who won the rebounding battle 37-21, have won three straight games. UNF has lost three in a row.
