Rider rallies for 90-88 win over Siena
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP)—Ryan Thompson’s driving layup with 3.4 seconds left gave Rider a 90-88 win over Siena on Saturday.
The Broncs had rallied to take the lead in the closing minutes, but the Saints fought back and tied the game at 86-86 on Alex Franklin’s 3-point play with 1:06 left.
Novar Gadson’s layup on Rider’s next possession put them ahead, but Siena responded with a basket by Ryan Rossiter with 37 seconds left. Rider then held the ball until Thompson’s winning shot, and he then blocked Ronald Moore’s 3-point try to seal the win.
