North Carolina A&T beats Florida A&M 73-63

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP)—Thomas Coleman scored 17 points to lead North Carolina A&T to a 73-63 win over Florida A&M on Saturday.

Coleman, who shot 7-for-8 from the field, had nine rebounds for the Aggies (10-13, 4-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Tavarus Alston had 15 points and Ed Jones added 14.

The Rattlers (6-15, 4-5) were led by Larry Jackson, who fouled out with 14 points. Lamar Twitty finished with 12 points and eight rebounds.

The Aggies shot 33.3 percent from the free-throw line (5-for-15), but made 60 percent from the field (30-for-50). North Carolina A&T also committed 26 turnovers, but outrebounded the Rattlers 46-30.

North Carolina A&T shot only 16.7 percent from the 3-point line (5-for-30).
