Boston U. beats New Hampshire 67-49
DURHAM, N.H. (AP)—Corey Lowe scored 19 points and John Holland added 16 points and 12 rebounds as first-place Boston University beat New Hampshire, 67-49, on Saturday.
New Hampshire (9-13, 4-6 America East Conference) started strong and took a 9-2 lead, but BU (14-9, 9-2) took control with a 15-2 run, and led 33-24 by halftime.
The lead reached 26 in the second half as Boston University clinched its eighth straight victory.
Tyrece Gibbs had 20 points for New Hampshire.
Scott Brittain, who had 12 points and nine rebounds, put the Terriers ahead to stay, 13-11, with a layup, and Holland’s 3-pointer made it 17-11.
The Terriers wrapped it up by scoring the last six points of the first half and the first six after the break, including five by Lowe. ^
