Harvard squeezes past Brown 64-63
BOSTON (AP)—Jeremy Lin sank a free throw with no time left to lead Harvard to a 64-63 win over Brown on Saturday.
Lin, who had 27 points and eight rebounds, was fouled as time expired. He hit his first shot from the line with the floor cleared and no time left on the clock.
Matt Mullery scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half for Brown (6-14, 0-6 Ivy League), which remained winless in the league. Peter Sullivan added 20 points and eight rebounds.
Harvard (10-10, 2-4) trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half. Lin’s 3-pointer with 2:57 to play gave the team its first lead of the game, 57-56.
Evan Harris finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks, including a crucial stuff of Mullery on Brown’s final possession.
Brown led 32-20 at the break.
