Chattanooga edges Furman 72-70

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP)—Jordan Miller hit a jumper with 11 seconds left and Furman overcame an 18-point deficit, beating Chattanooga 72-70 on Saturday.

Justin Dehm scored 19 points and Miller added 14 for the Paladins (5-17, 3-10 Southern Conference), who rallied from a 54-36 deficit with 14:49 left to win two straight for the first time this season.

With the Mocs (11-13, 7-6) ahead 69-63 with 3:07 remaining, Dehm made two free throws and a 3-pointer, then Connor Nolte hit a jumper to give the Paladins a 70-69 lead with 1:12 left.

Keyron Sheard made the first of two free throws with 24 seconds remaining, tying the score at 70-70. Miller followed with his game-winning jumper.

On Jan. 10, Chattanooga outscored Furman 36-8 down the stretch to win 73-46.

Nolte added 13 points for Furman.

Khalil Hartwell scored 17 points for the Mocs, while Stephen McDowell had 16.
