NEWARK, N.J. (AP)—Jeremy Hazell paced a balanced scoring attack with 31 points — the sixth time this season he has eclipsed 30 points in a game—leading Seton Hall to a 91-81 victory over St. John’s Thursday night.
The win was the third straight for Seton Hall (12-9, 3-6 Big East), all coming at home.

The Red Storm (12-10, 3-7) cut the lead to 12 at 40-28 with 4:15 remaining on a 3-pointer from Paris Horne, but Seton Hall held a 45-29 lead at halftime.
In the second half, St. John’s drew within seven at 81-74 with 1:16 left on two free throws from D.J. Kennedy, but Seton Hall held off the late charge to claim the victory.
