Central Connecticut beats St. Francis, Pa. 65-62
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP)—Ken Horton had 21 points and eight rebounds as Central Connecticut won 65-52 over St. Francis, Pa. on Thursday night.
Shemik Thompson added 17 points for the Blue Devils (11-11, 7-5 Northeast Conference), who took control of the game early in their seventh straight home win. Horton dominated with 11 points in the first half.
Devin Sweetney led the Red Flash (5-17, 2-9) with 20 points and eight rebounds.
The Blue Devils led 34-23 at halftime. They were never quite able to put the Red Flash away in the second half, but St. Francis struggled to close the gap to single-digits.
Central Connecticut scored 20 points off St. Francis’ 16 turnovers.
