Northern Iowa beats Bradley 61-58

PEORIA, Ill. (AP)—Johnny Moran hit a 3-pointer with five seconds left to lift Northern Iowa to a 61-58 win over Bradley on Tuesday.

Northern Iowa (17-6, 11-1, Missouri Valley) launched an assault from behind the arc with just under four minutes left and trailing 54-46. The Panthers’ last five baskets were 3-pointers, including three from Ali Farokhmanesh and two from Moran.

Farokhmanesh tied the game at 58-58 with 47 seconds left.

Jordan Eglseder and Adam Koch led Northern Iowa with 12 points apiece. Farokhmanesh had 11.

Northern Iowa never trailed the entire first half and led 30-26 at halftime, but the Braves edged ahead 39-38 with 12:24 left. Bradley (13-10, 7-5) went on a 10-0 run, capped by an Eddren McCain 3-pointer with 9:12 left.

Maniscalco led Bradley with 19 points. Theron Wilson had 13 points and David Collins added 11.
