Cotton scores 25 to lead Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP)—Troy Cotton scored 25 points and Wisconsin-Green Bay used a 16-3 run early in the second half to beat Loyola of Chicago 87-68 on Saturday night.

Mike Schachtner scored 18 points for Green Bay (17-6, 9-2 Horizon League) as the Phoenix pushed a 46-41 lead into a 71-51 advantage down the stretch.

Ryan Tillema scored 14 points, while Terry Evans and Randy Berry had 10 each for the Phoenix.

Justin Cerasoli scored 13 points for Loyola (12-11, 4-7), which grabbed 22 offensive rebounds but couldn’t slow the Horizon League’s top-scoring team.

Cotton hit 7-of-12 3-pointers. The Phoenix shot 54 percent from the floor and 48 percent from 3-point range.
