Robert Morris defeats Monmouth 75-62
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP)—Jeremy Chappell scored 25 points and Robert Morris extended its winning streak to nine games with a 75-62 victory over Monmouth on Saturday night.
Bateko shot 5-for-6, including 4-for-5 from 3-point range, and finished with 14 points, and Dallas Green had nine points and 10 rebounds for Robert Morris (15-7, 9-1 Northeast Conference), which opened up an 18-point lead in the second half.
Travis Taylor scored 19 points, Will Campbell added 14 and Mike Myers Keitt 10 for Monmouth (6-17, 4-7).
Robert Morris charged to a commanding lead early in the first half, outscoring Monmouth 15-3 in the first five minutes.
The Colonials finished with a 24-16 advantage in points off turnover and 19-11 edge in second-chance points.
