Presbyterian tops High Point 71-63
CLINTON, S.C. (AP)—Al’Lonzo Coleman scored 17 points and Presbyterian used a second-half surge to defeat High Point 71-63 on Saturday night.
The Blue Hose (9-12, 6-4 Big South Conference) went on a 15-6 first-half run to take the lead and a 38-31 halftime advantage.
High Point (5-16, 1-10) had its own 13-1 spurt to regain the lead at 50-46, then the Blue Hose answered with a 19-2 rally to hand the Panthers their seventh straight loss.
Presbyterian hit 11 of 20 shots in the second half and 26 of 50 for the game (52 percent).
Blue Hose senior Bryan Bostic’s 3-pointer to open the game gave him 1,000 career points and was his only basket of the night.
Pierre Miller added 16 for Presbyterian, Josh Johnson had 12 and Chase Holmes chipped in 10.
Nick Barbour scored 18 points to lead the Panthers, Eugene Harris had 16 points and Steadman Short added 15.
