Foote’s 18 points lead Cornell over Yale, 64-36
ITHACA, N.Y. (AP)—Jeff Foote had 18 points, and Louis Dale added 10 points and six rebounds to lift Cornell to a 64-36 win over Yale on Saturday night.
Cornell (14-6, 4-0 Ivy League) shot 46 percent while holding Yale (7-11, 2-2) to 23 percent shooting. Foote was 8-for-12 from the floor and had five offensive rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot.
Greg Mangano had eight points and five rebounds for Yale, and Chris Andrew added seven points. The Bulldogs hit on 12 of 52 field goals while turning the ball over 14 times.
Cornell scored first and never trailed, limiting Yale to 17 percent shooting in the first half and holding the Bulldogs to 1-for-11 shooting from beyond the arc.
