IUPUI downs Southern Utah 79-65
CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP)—Robert Glenn scored 22 points, and Leroy Nobles and Jon Avery added 15 each, leading Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis to a 79-65 Summit League win over Southern Utah on Thursday night.
Gary Patterson scored 12 points for the Jaguars (11-10, 4-6 Summit), who shot 61 percent from the field. IUPUI won its second straight after snapping a five-game losing streak Saturday.
David Marek scored 23 points to lead Southern Utah (6-15, 4-6). Marek went 7-for-7 from 3-point range and kept the Thunderbirds in the game until midway through the second half, when IUPUI pulled away.
Tyler Quinney scored 12 points for Southern Utah, and Jake Nielson added 11.
Glenn went 9-for-10 from the field for the Jaguars. His three-point play with 1:35 left gave IUPUI its biggest lead, 73-55.
Southern Utah has lost four of its last five Summit League games.
