LIU beats FDU 91-88 in 2 OTs

NEW YORK (AP)—Jaytornah Wisseh scored nine of his 28 points in the second overtime to lead Long Island University to a 91-88 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Thursday night.

The Blackbirds tied the game 69-69 on a jumper by David Hicks at the regulation buzzer. They forced the second overtime when Kyle Johson’s 3-pointer tied it at 78-78 with one-tenth of a second left.

Johnson had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Blackbirds (10-10, 6-3 Northeast Conference), while Hicks added 14 points.

Sean Baptiste had 34 points, 27 after halftime, and 10 rebounds for the Knights (4-16, 4-6), while Cameron Tyler scored 22 points.

Wisseh scored all nine of his points in the second overtime from the free throw line.
