Creighton beats Indiana St. 73-62
OMAHA, Neb. (AP)—P’Allen Stinnett scored all of his 13 points in the final nine minutes as Creighton pulled away from Indiana State for a 73-62 win on Tuesday.
The sophomore, who averages 13 points, was 0-for-3 from the floor until scoring 10 points during a decisive 14-5 run for Bluejays (16-6, 6-4 Missouri Valley Conference).
Indiana State (4-17, 2-8) trailed 27-26 at the break despite making only one of its 10 shots from 2-point range in the first half. Six of its seven field goals came from long range, where it was six of 11.
The Sycamores, who lost their fifth straight game, got 16 points from Harry Marshall.
Justin Carter had a career night for Creighton, finishing with 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals. He was 6-for-7 from the field.
