Boston U. beats Maine 73-62
ORONO, Maine (AP)—Jake O’Brien scored a career-high 24 points and John Holland added 23 as Boston University overcame an 18-point deficit to defeat Maine 73-62 on Sunday.
Maine (8-12, 3-4 America East Conference) jumped to a 27-9 lead with 9:36 remaining in the first half. But Boston (10-9, 5-2) cut the lead to 33-28 before Maine boosted it to 38-31 at intermission.
O’Brien’s jumper tied the game at 41 with 14:41 left.
Mark Socoby, who led Maine with 16 points, hit a 3-pointer to give Maine its last lead before Holland followed with consecutive treys to give BU the lead for good, and the Terriers grabbed their fourth straight victory.
Corey Lowe finished with 15 points and tied a career-high in assists with nine for BU. He also hit 3-of-9 3-pointers to become the Terriers’ career leader with 205 made.
